Tracy started judo in Missouri in 1988. She is a former elite athlete turned veterans and kata competitor before knee injuries ended her competitive career. Tracy is an International Judo Federation (IJF) B/Continental level referee and keeps the Denver Judo coaches and competitors updated with the current rule interpretations. When not traveling the world to referee, Tracy and her husband Jayson run the Friday night Kata class and oversee open mat. Tracy is also an IJF certified Instructor and Coach (IJF Academy graduate levels 1 & 2). Tracy serves on USA Judo's Veterans athlete committee, the Board of Directors for the Keiko Fukuda Joshi Judo Foundation, Colorado Judo League's Coaching Committee and Board of Directors, and on the Promotion Board.
