Jacob teaches the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class and is a second degree black belt. He began in 2004 in a small club at his university and trained at various schools throughout those years. in 2010 he moved to Phoenix, AZ, and trained under Jay Pages in Tempe. He received his black belt in 2018. In 2022 he moved to Denver and joined Denver Judo in 2024.
