Keith Lewis
Keith started Judo in 1992 at Southwestern Oregon Community College under Sensei Rich Petherbridge and currently holds the rank of Yodan, or 5th degree black belt.
In 1993 Keith returned to his home State of Colorado where he resumed his Judo training at Hyland Hills Judo School under Sensei Dennis Mercer and Grace Jividen. Under Sensei Mercer and Jividen, Keith was afforded the incredible opportunity to train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs where he trained with some of best Judoka in the United States if not the World. In 1996 Keith entered the Law Enforcement profession where his knowledge and experience in Judo made him a perfect fit for a position as a Defensive Tactics and Arrest Control Instructor. In 2002 Keith moved his training to Denver where he began training with Denver Judo under Sensei Scott and Heidi Moore. After 32 years of dedication to Judo, Keith continues to contribute to the Judo community through training, competing teaching, mentoring, coaching, and Referee.
